Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms​

By installing, accessing, or using SimplePerm, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use the package.

2. Description of Service​

SimplePerm by Simplementix is a Salesforce AppExchange managed package that eliminates the manual work of migrating Salesforce profiles to permission sets. It provides a guided wizard for migration, a permission viewer for browsing and comparing profiles and permission sets, migration history tracking, and CSV export functionality.

3. License​

SimplePerm is free to install and use. No paid subscription, license key, or activation is required. The package is provided under a standard Salesforce AppExchange managed package license.

4. Eligibility and Requirements​

To use SimplePerm, you must have:

  • A Salesforce org with Lightning Experience enabled
  • API access enabled (included by default with Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer editions)
  • Salesforce API version 62.0 or later
  • The SimplePerm_Admin permission set assigned to your user

SimplePerm is not supported on Professional Edition without the API add-on.

5. Acceptable Use​

SimplePerm is intended for Salesforce administrators to automate profile-to-permission-set migration and to view, compare, and export permission data. You agree to use SimplePerm only for its intended purpose and in compliance with your Salesforce Master Subscription Agreement and applicable Salesforce usage policies.

6. Data and Privacy​

SimplePerm operates entirely within your Salesforce org. It does not collect, transmit, or store any data outside of your org. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual Property​

SimplePerm and all associated code, documentation, and branding are the intellectual property of Simplementix. The managed package is distributed through the Salesforce AppExchange. You may not decompile, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the package.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties​

SimplePerm is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Simplementix does not warrant that SimplePerm will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your specific requirements. Migration operations modify your Salesforce org's permission configuration -- you are responsible for reviewing the preview (Step 3 of the wizard) before deploying.

9. Limitation of Liability​

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Simplementix shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or in connection with your use of SimplePerm.

This includes, without limitation, any damage to your Salesforce org configuration resulting from migration operations. You are responsible for reviewing migration previews before deploying and for maintaining backups of your org configuration.

10. Indemnification​

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Simplementix from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of SimplePerm or violation of these Terms of Service.

11. Modifications to Terms​

Simplementix reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted to this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of SimplePerm after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

12. Termination​

You may stop using SimplePerm at any time by uninstalling the package from your Salesforce org. Uninstallation removes all SimplePerm custom objects and their data. Simplementix reserves the right to discontinue the package or restrict access at any time.
