Step 1: Select Profiles

Pick which profiles you want to convert into permission sets.

Finding Profiles

The wizard opens with a searchable table of every profile in your org. Each row shows the profile name and whether it's standard or custom.

The search bar at the top filters by name. Start typing "Marketing User" and the list narrows as you go.

Standard vs. Custom Profiles

Standard profiles (System Administrator, Standard User, Marketing User, etc.) show a [Standard] badge next to their name. Custom profiles have no badge.

Both types can be migrated. SimplePerm treats them identically.

tip

Yes, standard profiles like "System Administrator" work too. The resulting permission set will contain the same permissions that were on the profile.

Selecting Multiple Profiles

Click the checkbox next to each profile you want to include. You can select up to 5 profiles per migration run, and each one produces its own permission set.

Your selections appear as pills below the search bar. Click the X on any pill to remove it.

Browsing Large Lists

If your org has many profiles, use the pagination controls at the bottom of the table. Selections are preserved across pages -- picking a profile on page 1 and browsing to page 2 won't clear it.

Moving Forward

Once you've selected at least one profile, click Next.
